Hello and Welcome!
My name is Cathy Francis and I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Yoga Teacher working in the beautiful Conwy Valley in North Wales.
I have 3 passions, two of which I am lucky enough to work with.
My first passion is hypnotherapy. I started my journey in 2021 and I hold 3 qualifications. The first is the HPD gained through North Wales Hypnotherapy Academy and the second is the Diploma in Hypnotherapy which I gained studying with Hypnotic World. The third is a Diploma in Advanced Hypnotherapy also awarded by the N.W.H.A.
I am a member of The National Council for Hypnotherapy (https://www.hypnotherapists.org.uk/therapist-finder/view/plid/10285/ ) and The Professional Hypnotherapy Practitioner Association (https://phpa-online.org) and am bound to adhere to their code of ethics and am accountable to both these organisation's. I take my continuing professional development seriously and keep my knowledge updated and, as is good practice as a hypnotherapist, I have a supervisor with whom I regularly check in. I also hold a current DBS certificate.
I work from Aspire North Wales Clinic (https://aspirenorthwalesclinic.co.uk/) in Colwyn Bay, online and if you're local I'm happy to come to you, enabling you to relax in the comfort of your own home.
I am also a yoga teacher. I have been teaching since 2012. My training was a 500 hour British Wheel of Yoga training and I have since completed many, many hours of CPD with teachers such as Kino Mcgregor, Paul Grilley, Jason Crandell, John Scott and Richard Adamo.
My classes are flowing and dynamic and are a balance between building strength and flexibility as both are equally important. Classes also incorporate breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. I also throw in a little yin yoga here and there, again because I believe it's important to create balance.
So you can get to know me a little better I am including here a list of a few of my core values. I believe this is important for you to know so you can decide whether we're a good fit for each other.
Trust is a must as a hypnotherapist. You need to be able to confide in me and trust that I will keep your confidence and do my best to provide the best possible therapy. To this end I am open minded and non-judgemental.
I am compassionate and aim to bring this quality to every part of my life, whether that's the therapy room, yoga mat or in family situations or socially.
We need plenty of this in our life.
This is VERY important to me and I will bring this quality to our dealings in whatever way we may cross paths.
It's important that we are free to express ourselves and our opinions and to live our lives as we see best without being dictated to by others whilst at the same time remaining tolerant and accepting of other viewpoints.
And, just in case you're interested, my third passion is houseplants!
'Just wanted to tell you about Cathy at Source Yoga. She took a class today and it was fantastic! I highly recommend her as a very competent and passionate BWY teacher.'
'Such a lovely class yesterday. It's been a long time since I've been to a class and I found the whole experience excellent. Normally I get bored, yet yesterday I didn't and the meditation at the end was so relaxing. I had a lovely sleep last night. Can't wait for next Monday's class.'
'Just got back from a BRILLIANT yoga session with Cathy. She is an incredible teacher with an uncanny knack of knowing exactly what to say at exactly the right time ... it's like she's in your head. If you're thinking about trying yoga or developing your current practice you should definitely give Cathy at Source Yoga a try ... you won't regret it.'
'Cathy helped me with my driving anxiety and nerves to pass my test. Would definitely recommend.'
'I have always really struggled with public speaking but hypnosis helped my confidence massively. Cathy always made sure our sessions were a safe and secure space and I would highly recommend her to everyone! My hypnotherapy sessions changed my life for the better.'
'Cathy's hpnotherapy sessions take about 1 hour. I always felt safe, extremely relaxed and refreshed afterwards. I would highly recommend this type of intervention because it enable YOU to get to the real root of the problem which is often hidden from our conscious view and address it in a permanent way.
